Amravati district was also been blessed by the ISKCON federation in November 2000, when a beautiful temple was built over here. The temple was made in honour of Shri Shri Rukmini Dwarkadish (wife of Shri Krishna) and her fascinating statues had been installed for mass viewing. This temple was inaugurated by His Holiness Lokenath Swami Maharaj, who is a disciple of Srila Prabhupada. The temple is located in the Saraswati Colony of Rathi Nagar in the district. The temple complex is a huge structure with beautiful photos of Lord Krishna’s different pastimes and his different avatars. While entering, one will find a huge hall with beautiful drawings on the wall. On the centre stage are beautiful idols of Lord Krishna and Rukmini Devi. The idols are gorgeously draped in silk dresses and ornaments with royal magnificence.
