The Westpark is a residential project, with co-working spaces and a business centre among its amenities. That makes it a good fit for people who work from home — but it does not make a flat a business office. Before you book an interior designer or an internet plan, decide which of the two you actually need.
A home desk and a business office need different checks
A desk for remote work is about light, sound, power points and connectivity. An office with staff, client visits, deliveries or signage raises questions of permitted use and building rules. "Working from home" should not be shorthand for every kind of commercial activity. If your plans go beyond that, ask the promoter for the written conditions first — or look at a proper office instead.
What to ask each provider
- Interiors. Start with DLF's handover specifications and alteration rules. Get a written scope covering electricals, joinery, acoustic work and any reinstatement. Do not assume drilling, service changes or external equipment will be allowed.
- Internet. Ask the building team which operators can serve your tower at handover, then get written serviceability from the operator. Coverage elsewhere in Andheri West does not prove coverage in your tower.
- Furniture. Measure the real room. Account for ventilation, screen glare, storage and the delivery route. Never order a fitted desk around a brochure render.
Check how the co-working amenity will run
Is access included or charged? Do you need to book? Can guests come for meetings? When will it be delivered with your phase? An amenity name does not answer any of these.
The practical takeaway
Choose the flat with work in mind — a room with a door, a desk wall away from road noise, good daylight. Confirm the use and access rules first, and collect provider quotes second.
Frequently asked questions
Does the business centre mean The Westpark sells offices? No. The project is residential.
Can an internet company guarantee service before handover? Ask for building-specific written confirmation and its conditions.
Should I book a fit-out contractor now? Not before you have the handover specification, access date and alteration rules.
